Larry C. Snyder

Larry C. Snyder, 64, of Libby, died from natural causes Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, in Libby.

He was born Sept. 22, 1943, in Grand Rapids, Minn., to Bud & Mia Snyder. In 1959, he moved with his family to Libby. In the early 1960s, he entered the U.S. Military and served in the Navy and the Army before he retired.

He returned to Libby were he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, gold mining, gardening and reloading.

Survivors include his four children Lorna Hatten and husband Tim of Williston, N.D.; Buddy Snyder and wife Christy of Minot, N.D.; Gary Snyder and wife Billie Jo of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; Rosalie Brinegar and husband Timothy of Libby, Mont.; brothers and sisters JoAnn Nelson and husband Dick, Marge Snyder, Rick Snyder and Ron Snyder and wife Cory - all of Libby; Steve Snyder and wife Sue of Lawton, Okla.; Jerry Snyder and wife Linda of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at 1 p.m., at the City of Libby Cemetery. A reception will follow at the VFW. Local arrangements are by the Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
