Vicky Clawson

Vicky Clawson, 54. formerly of Libby and Kalispell, died of natural causes Aug. 6, 2008, at Cedar City, Utah.

Born Nov. 16, 1953, at Whitefish, Mont., she was the youngest of seven children. She lived with her parents until their deaths and then split time between her siblings and their families. She recently relocated to Cedar City to be with her sister, Kathy Stringham, and her family.

Ms. Clawson loved to travel and going to rummage sales. She was easy to please and even with her disability, lived a full life with her love spreading through the family. She suffered many health issues but could always be depended on to have a big smile. She will be remembered for her love of purple, flashy jewelry and country music singers Loretta Lynn and George Strait.

She is survived by sisters Sharon Larson, Odessa, Texas; Evelyn Nygard, Marble Falls, Texas; and Kathy Stringham; Cedar City. She was well-loved by her numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Erven and Dora Clawson, a brother Bobby Clawson, and sisters Josephine Harvey and Linda Carr.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 15 at the Libby Church of Latter-day Saints followed by burial at the City of Libby Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schnackenberg and Nelson Funeral Home in Libby.
