Golfers battle at annual tourney

Jimmy Mee and Al Green took first place in the championship flight at the 2008 Member-Guest Golf Tournament on Saturday and Sunday at Cabinet View Country Club.
Mee and Green shot a gross two-day total of 137 to win the top flight by one stroke over Joe Cielak and Chuck Eble. Wayne Haines and Mike Bennett came in with a 128 to finish first in the net division.
In the first flight, Robin Swimley and Craig Henkel took first in gross (151) with Jerry Mee and Greg Frost taking first in net (127).
Bill Rowberry and B. Weidman had the top gross in the second flight (161) while Junior Crismore and Tyler Wilkonski had the top net (120).
In the third flight, Charlie Farrell and M. Holland had the top gross (168) and Dave Gaustad and R. Holland had top net (128).
And in the fourth flight, Kari Martell and Steve McNally had the top gross score (182) while Gene Havens and Rich Reisinger came in with top net (122).
Hole prizes went to Steve Graham (No. 3), Brian Cloutier (No. 7), Christa Reisinger (No. 11) and Bruce Billingsley (No. 15). Other prizes went to Niki Mee and Neven Zugg (long putt on No. 6), and Al Green and Dee Wright (long drive on No. 18).
