Training Tips

Libby High School offers the following advice:

“It is very warm for fall sports to start, please hydrate well before, during and after practice. Plain water is the drink of choice.

“Popular sports drinks can have too much sugar in them. Learn to read labels if you use a sport drink to re-hydrate. Fuel your athlete’s body with healthy foods, especially during this time as they will need to supply energy, repair tired muscles, etc., for maximal performance.

Parent Meetings

Each sport is required to schedule a parent meeting for their athletes. The administration encourages parents to attend. Many questions are answered and the expectations of the coach for athletes are covered.

Volunteers

Several volunteer positions need to be filled to help make fall sports run smoothly, the school announced.

Volleyball needs an announcer and scorekeeper for home games. Sub-varsity football will be in need of people to run the down markers along the sideline. Soccer will need someone to run the clock.

Contact the school to volunteer.
