Donald “Mac” L. Mack

Donald (Mac) L. Mack, 82, a former resident of Libby, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at Mountain View Manor in Eureka. He was born Oct. 24, 1925 in Seattle to Fred Mack and Minnie Thomson Mack. He married Mary in 1957 in Anchorage, Alaska. They resided in Alaska for 34 years until moving to Libby in 1995.

Mac was an avid fisherman, cribbage player and his biggest purpose in life was cutting wood.

Preceded in death by his wife Mary in 1999 and brother James Mack, he is survived by his children: Mark Hinkley and Dru McCain, both of Eureka, Donald Troy, Jr. and wife Pam of Wassila, Alaska, Russel Mack of Kodiak, Alaska, Kriss Swoboda of Texas, and Ramona Tobby of Valparaiso, Ind.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home Chapel in Libby.
