Catching up on some reading

| September 28, 2007 12:00 AM

The Libby Library has received over 90 new children and young adult books through the Libri Foundation of Eugene, Ore.

The Foundation donates new, quality children's books to small, rural libraries throughout the United States through its BOOKS FOR CHILDREN program.

The Foundation matches funds raised by local groups and this enables libraries to obtain children's books that are not obtainable within their current budgets.

The Libri Foundation matches at a 2-to-1 ratio. The Libby Friends of the Library provided matching funds. In addition, a donation towards the books was made by Bruce Campbell and his late mother Sue Campbell. The Campbells donated money to The Libri Foundation with the request it be used for libraries in Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.

The new books are on display at the Libby Library and are being featured during story time which is every Tuesday at 10 a.m.
