Reminiscing about the good old days

To the Editor:
This fall as I wander about the forest I miss my good ole' dog Fleet, who was my bird hunting partner and companion.
Fleet was layed to rest after a long life of giving me a great deal of companionship and pleasure.
This causes me sadness is seeing more forest roads (behind gates) have suffered the same fate as Fleet. Put away?
Where I once could ride or walk with pleasure large berms, debris layed in the old roadways, or excessive ditches are now in my once used pleasant pathways.
I sure miss Fleet and the good ole days.
