Lady Logger Freshman Volleyball

| September 21, 2007 12:00 AM

In the Libby vs. Bigfork game, the Libby freshman scored 25-10, 25-22 and 15-7.

The freshmen did a great job of passing the ball in Bigfork. Their gym has really low ceilings, so if the ball is passed too high it ends up ricocheting off the ceiling. Luckily for the Libby team, the passing was on. Coach Barb Mee's girls served well resulting in many passing errors on Bigfork's part.

Leading in kills were: Alysha Martin and Taylor Barton who had 3 each. Leading in assists were: Alysha Martin with 4. Ace leaders were: Kim Klin with 6 and Alex Kulbeck with 5.

In the Libby vs. Polson game, Libby edged out a win with 25-10, 26-24, 9-15, 9-15 and 15-12.

As the scores show, the Lady Loggers came out strong and then lost the momentum. Polson was scrappy team, they didn't let many balls drop in the last three games. Coach Mee tried to run a few different combinations of players that did not work very well. Once the team lost momentum it was difficult to get it back. The match went right down to the wire, luckily the team pulled it out in the end.

Kill leaders were: Kulbeck with 5 and Barton with 4. The leader in assists was Klin with 7. Ace leader was Alysha Martin with 12.
