Earl L. Burkett

Earl L. Burkett, 62, of Libby died Friday, Sept. 14, 2007 at St. John's Lutheran Hospital from natural causes. He was born Aug. 17, 1945 in Napa, Calif. to Randoff and Else Buster Burkett.

He started working construction as an iron worker when he was about 20 years. He worked construction for over 20 years. He retired in 1982 for health reasons.

He moved to Libby in 1984. He enjoyed working with wood, camping, fishing and the out of doors. His daughter Sharon and sister Barbara preceded him in death.

Survivors include: a daughter Tammy Ramsey and her husband Jim of Spokane, Wash.; six grandchildren Nathan, Ariah, Kristen, Logan, Wyatt and Garrett; seven brothers Buddy, Burkett and his wife Betty of Bakersfield, Calif.; Charles Burkett and his wife Linda of Warden, Wash.; Richard Burkett and his wife Pat of Clear Lake, Calif.; Raymond Burkett and his wife Janet of Othello, Wash.; James Burkett and his wife Fanny of Othello; Larry Burkett and his wife Judith of Fort Smith, Ark.; John Burkett and his wife Julie of Libby; two sisters Nita Keeter of Thatcher, Ariz. and Linda Piscitelli and her husband Bob of Couer d'Alene, Idaho.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Libby Baptist Church in Libby. Local arrangements are by the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby.
