Ursula (Ilse) Farmer

Ursula (Ilse) Farmer, 66, of Libby, died Tuesday, Sept. 4 in Greenacres, Wash.

She was born in Germany on May 4, 1941 to Adam and Catherine Werner and was raised and educated there.

Ilse came to the United States following her marriage in Germany to Arthur Farmer in 1960.

They resided in Olympia, Wash. before coming to Libby in 1969 where she was a longtime employee of the Libby Public School system until her retirement.

Ilse enjoyed handcrafts of all kinds, especially knitting and crocheting.

She also enjoyed gardening and a good game of bingo. Devoted to her family, Ilse had been a loving wife, mom and grandma.

Survivors include her husband Art; her children: Larry Farmer of Troy; Cheryl Waldusky of Spokane Valley, Wash.; and Cathy Foote and her husband Cam of Troy; her siblings: Louise, Hannelore, Christa, Gessela, Annelese and Helmut, all residing in Germany; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday at the Libby Baptist Church with interment services following at the City of Libby Cemetery. Friends may call at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home until 1 p.m. on Friday.
