The Lady Loggers beat the Broncs in Frenchtown in three games last Thursday night in 25-18, 25-15 and 25-13.

"We started off a bit slow," said coach Cindy Ostrem-Johnston. "It took us a few points to get going, but we eventually controlled the game and wore them down."

Citing their success with "some quick offense," Ostrem-Johnston singled out junior Crysta Quinn, who lead in aces with five out of the 10, and served 95 percent, making 20 of her 21 serves.

Ostrem-Johnston noted it was the first time that every player served 92 percent or above, with a team season high of 96 percent.

Sophomore Jackie Mee led in kills, making 10 of the teams' 35 and a .333 attack percentage ratio. Mee also made 3 of the 4 team blocks.

Seniors Brooke Hageness and Laice Dedrick followed with 8 kills a piece. Dedrick led in digs, making 8 of the 35.

Senior Shelby Barton made 27 of the 31 team assists.

Ostrem-Johnston commented on the support the team has received.

"It's been really nice to hear compliments from other coaches and fans who've enjoyed watching them play," she said. "The girls have had a real classy mannerism on the court."
