Sam Curtiss

Sam Curtiss, 57, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, at Kalispell Regional Hospital after a long illness.

He was born on Feb. 17, 1950 to Chet and Bonnie Curtiss in Spokane, Wash. He was educated in Spokane and then traveled extensively as a professional musician.

Sam married Valerie in 1966 and they moved to Libby in 2006 so he could enjoy his love of fishing and hunting in the great outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include: his wife, Valerie Curtiss of Libby; sons, Justin Curtiss of Plains, Rick Stevenson in Spokane; daughters, Robin Stevenson in Spokane, Tracy Stevenson of Trout Creek; and nine grandchildren.

Sam will be missed by his family and also by his nine Boston Terriers, who he considered family.
