All too common for coincidence
To the Editor:
I lived in Libby from 1965-1981 and my dad worked at that ungraceful mine and he has symtons of this terrible stuff, so I try to read as much as I can about it all.
So I wanted to thank Edward Perley for clearing up something that I have been wondering about for a long time; why all of the deaths in the newspaper have been listed as 'natural causes.' Way too many and so very many that are very very young.
Something else that has been bothering me, that I haven't seen mentioned in writing anywhere, is the fact that so many children from my neighborhood (Mahoney Acres) and their children have a huge percentage of birth defects. I can name, like, 12 in a one block radius. These people are all about the same age. There are also several with MS all around the same age. These are just the ones I know of because of my aquaintances. Way too many for that tiny of an area. I would bet there are many more. I believe that this terrible poison affects tons more than just our lungsā¦
