All things connected and not as they seem
To the Editor:
How is it that when we hear the meteorologists' weather reports saying it will be 30 percent chance of rain, 20 percent chance tomorrow, and it doesn't or something else happens, like wind, snow, sleet or sunshine, EGAD! Why don't they say there is an 80 percent chance it won't or will? It's as the retiring meteorologist said to the press, who interviewed him, "We can only predict/guess the weather ahead 3-4 days at best."
What? Oh, by the way, he some years ago was the originator of Al Gore's manic expression, "Global Warming." So once again, fictional science took a step back from the cliff edge. Say, weren't they predicting "Global Cooling" 30 years back? Truth is stranger and more marvelous than fiction. What is the shortest distance between two points? A straight line? No, it's a curve. Check with Albert Einstein on this little known fact.
As a kid of 6-7 years on my grandpa's farm up above Duluth, Minn., my nephews and I watched an iron ore ship sail over the horizon and sink, yet to our childish wonder, the smoke was still coming up. We did, all of us, race to the house to tell of the sinking. Dad and Grandpa laughed and told us the earth is round and that the ship was sailing around it.
A wonder of science, that our creator had from the beginning - Genesis - created electrical-magnetism/gravity, that keeps our feet on the ground; all water from flying off and the trees growing vertical.
Our Creator God gave us his 10 commandments and we are fearfully and wonderfully made - in secret. All the laws of chemistry, mathematics, physics, anatomy, biology, botany, etc. were made by Him. No, you say? Then show me the man.
