Elvis performer takes care of business in Libby
To the Editor:
This is one Grandma who was proud to take her 7-year-old Grandson to the Memorial Center's Elvis tribute performance.
A heartfelt thank you to Mary Bradshaw, Libby's Achievements's production manager, and the many wonderful sponsors, for one Saturday night to remember in Libby, Mont.
Elvis tribute artist, Danny Vernon, brought a tremendous amount of fabulous talent on the stage of the Memorial Center, for a wonderful cause. Not only did Danny do Elvis Presley proud, he warmed the hearts of the audience with his fantastic array of Elvis music.
I have seen many, many Elvis tribute artists in my years of attending Memphis, Tennessee, and Elvis Presley's home of Graceland and feel that Danny has done the best tribute of Elvis in my eyes. Yes, I also, have seen the real true Elvis in concert in 1973, and also, 1976, a year before he passed away.
The purpose of this entire Danny Vernon performance was to raise money for Libby's Achievements special people with disabilities and, believe me, I was totally impressed with not only Danny's voice but his warm and loving heart of giving, for such a great cause.
As Elvis Presley would say, "Danny knows how to T.C.B. (Which stands for "Taking Care of Business.") That he did in Libby's City of Eagles. Danny's wife, Marsha, also did a great tribute to Ann Margaret.
God bless all and especially those at Libby Achievements. They know how to "Love us tender." Looking forward to Danny Vernon's future return to Libby. His singing of "How Great Thou Art" brought Danny a standing ovation. Yes, there is more to Elvis music then meets the eye. My boy, my boy.
