Libby vs. Troy JV

The match vs. Troy junior varsity was hardfought. After losing the first two games, the girls picked up their play to win three close games.

"I felt that my girls played pretty well against Troy," said coach Barb Mee. "They have a pretty good team."

Libby vs. Columbia Falls

Columbia Falls had a difficult time handling Libby's serves.

"I felt my girls did a great job serving in Columbia Falls," Mee added.

The biggest key to successful volleyball is passing, so when serving well it doesn't allow the other team to get on attack, Mee continued.

Kill leaders: Alex Kulbeck - 5, Courtney Wilkonski and Alysha Martin - 3

Dig leaders: Malena Sweet - 5, Alysha Martin - 4

Assist leaders: Stacey Oedewaldt - 5

Libby vs. Whitefish

Whitefish was the most consistent defensive team that the team has played this season.

"We were not used to teams getting so many balls back to us," Mee admitted. "They also did a nice job of finding the holes in our defense."

This was the team's first loss this season, so the girls were a little shell-shocked and didn't quite know what to do to get themselves back in the match, Mee said. It will likely serve as a learning experience.

Scores: 22-25, 16-25, 10-15

Kill leaders: Alex Kulbeck - 6, Alysha Martin - 5

Dig leaders: Logan Best - 10

Current Record: 6-1
