Erik L. Mize

Erik L. Mize, 42, died Nov. 7 in San Fransisco, Calif. He had been a resident of Stevinson, Calif. at the time of his death.

He was born in Great Falls on April 13, 1965 to Charles and Nancy Mize.

He attended grade school in Pacifica, Calif. and came to Kalispell with his parents where he completed middle school and attended Flathead County High School, graduating from there in 1983.

Following high school graduation, he resided in the Turlock and Modesto area, receiving an Associate of Arts degree at Merced Junior College.

Erik had worked for Rite Aide in Livingston, Calif. for the past 10 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and bicycling.

He had been a member of Harvest Christian Center in Turlock.

He is survived by his parents: Charles and Nancy Mize of Libby; a sister, Vicki Brown of Kalispell; a brother, Fred Mize of Missoula; two nephews and three nieces. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Virginia Dirks and Fred and Mary Mize.

Services were held Nov. 13 in Turlock, Calif. Local graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 3 at the City of Libby Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Lindgren officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Nelson & Vial Funeral Home & Crematory.
