Thanking early morning drivers

| November 27, 2007 11:00 PM

To the Editor:

I have been coming up to Libby most of my life and I moved here almost four years ago. Every now and then I will pick up the paper and I have noticed that when there's a tragic accident around the area no one seems to thank those early morning drivers. They are the ones who seem to be first on the scene.

Last week was another tragic accident. With no cell phone service they went on their big radios hoping someone would hear their calls on the radio for 911. They stopped their early morning runs to the mountains to help the people in need. They don't think of the loads they might miss, getting chewed out for being late, or their own health and safety of not having gloves when they help.

So thanks to all those drivers. Weinman Hauling, TBC, Martin, Munro and to the medics and Highway Patrol.
