A thanks to Lincoln County's finest

To the Editor:

I would like to thank everyone involved in the investigation and arrest of those allegedly responsible for at least one of the many burglaries in the area. Hopefully this will snowball into many more arrests and put an end to the madness.

I urge everyone to work with the sheriff's office and all the other law enforcement agencies involved. Be observant, alert and aware of what is going on at all times in the neighborhood. I found during all this that we have some very competent, caring and professional people here in Lincoln County. Work with them, call them if you see something or know something. Information is the key.

My hat is off to the guys in blue who sometimes we take for granted. It's not a job I would want, however they get up every day and go to bat for us.

Thanks guys, and to everyone else, be alert and refuse to be a victim.
