Learning about Scotchman Peaks

I want to clarify a couple of items mentioned in the article, "Trying to save a little piece of heaven."

Members of the "Friends of the Scotchmans Peaks for Wilderness" have given presentations to The Society of American Foresters, Libby Rod and Gun Club and the Rotary Club, but these groups have not signed on as supporters.

Secondly, Wildlife Biologist Gayle Joslin has been invited by the Libby Rod and Gun Club to present a program on mountain goats at our Nov. 20 meeting. It will be held at the First National Bank community room at 7 p.m.

This will be a look at the science of mountain goats in our area. Snowmobilers, game biologists, forest managers, as well as the general public are invited to attend.
