Cyclists to ride last leg of STOKR bike route on Saturday

| May 11, 2007 12:00 AM

More than 400 cyclists will be cruising down the Pipe Creek Road descent Saturday, May 12, on their last leg of the day's STOKR bike route.

Motorists heading up the Pipe Creek Road towards Yaak should use extreme caution on the ascent as cyclists will be maneuvering the descent's sharp, winding corners at high speeds.

The ride continues Sunday when the cyclists will head to the Libby Dam on a private side road, then return to Libby down U.S. Highway 37 on the opposite side of the Kootenai River.

Saturday's ride starts at 8 a.m. and Sunday's ride starts at 9 a.m.
