Society anti free press

| May 9, 2007 12:00 AM

Dear Editor:

Forget the free press. We don't have a Constitutional right to a free press any more. We have a permission press. You must ask permission from the owner of society to give the people a different paper. A paper that reads, thinks and speaks differently.

No grocery store in Troy or Libby will give permission. We put 12 papers outside the front door of the Lincoln County Courthouse for the people. But the executive assistant to the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners throws them away. He says he has a right to do it.

So we, the people, have no human right to our political beliefs. We must ask permission to read, think and speak differently politically. The people have no right to a free press whether it's private or public.
