Donald E. "Don" Jones

Donald E. "Don" Jones, 66, died Saturday, May 5, 2007, in Libby.

Don was born May 13, 1940, in Malta, to Robert and Florence Ferrell Jones. He was raised and educated in the Malta -Hinsdale area. Don came to the Libby area in November of 1965. He married Loretta Larson on July 2, 1966.

later Champion International. He later worked for Envirocon for six years until his retirement. In recent years, Don drove bus for Libby Senior Citizens Transportation.

Don enjoyed the outdoors surrounding Libby where he liked to camp and fish. He also was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with friends and family over coffee at Henry's Restaurant.

Don is survived by his wife, Loretta, and daughter, Sheryl Vandertuin, both of Libby; son, Brian Jones and wife Jesica of Stevensville; sisters, Lorraine Petery, Johnston Pa; Peggy Offerdahl, Columbia Falls; Pat Anderson, Whitewater; and Joyce Parenteau, Libby; brothers, Marvin Jones, Malta; Roy Jones, Columbia Falls; and John Jones, Libby; grandchildren, Brandon, Emily, Madison, and Kellen.

He was preceded in death by brothers; Fred, Robert "Al", Orville and Elmer Jones; and sister Dorothy Abrahamson.

Services will be 11a.m., Wednesday, May 9 at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Lindgren officiating.
