Frank Floyd

Frank L. Floyd, 66, of Troy, died Thursday, March 8, 2007, at St. John's Lutheran Hospital.

Frank was born at Chadron, Neb., to Frank and Nina Anderson Floyd and came to western Washington state with his family. He was raised and educated in Kenmore, Wash.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1958 to 1963. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to western Washington where he worked as a carpenter and building contractor at Lake Chelan.

Frank married Sharon Mullins in 1986, and they came to Troy in 1991.

Frank liked the great outdoors of Montana and enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He particularly enjoyed visiting with family and friends, who remember his particular fondness for jelly beans and black licorice.

Survivors include his wife Sharon of Troy; children Neil Floyd and wife Heather of Lynnwood, Wash., and Jennifer Floyd of Illinois; sister Joann Hathaway and husband Steve of Yuma, Ariz.; stepchildren, Christie Nichols and husband Howard of Troy, Teresa Crandall and husband Tim of Lake Chelan, Wash., and Jeff Mullins and wife Jackie of Palm Beach, Fla.; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Services were held Tuesday, March 13, at the Troy Church of God with Pastor Gene Bushnell officiating.
