Lloyd O'Brien

Lloyd Franklin O'Brien, 55, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, in Spokane, Wash.

Lloyd was born Oct. 10, 1951, in Libby to Frank and Lillian Wood O'Brien. He was raised in Eureka and Missoula.

Lloyd and his wife Susan raised five children while living in northern Idaho. While Lloyd and Sue built their home, Lloyd worked in construction to provide for his family. After 20 years Lloyd and Sue were divorced.

Lloyd continued to work with Teamsters Local 238 and made many friends throughout the years since 1972. He was a hard worker and devoted to the job. His last project was the Monroe Street Bridge in Spokane, which he was proud of.

Lloyd was devoted to his family and remained close to his brothers and sisters. Lloyd loved and cherished his children most of all; they were his greatest gift.

Survivors include his children, Tracy and Tarin, both of Spokane, and Kelly Cory and Kyle of Oklahoma; his brothers and sisters, Drilda O'Brien of Spokane and Roxanna Dyall of Portland, Ore., Perry O'Brien of Missoula, and Patrick O'Brien of Libby; and uncles and aunt, Louie, Leo and Richard O'Brien and Leona Benefield.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home Chapel in Libby. Interment services will be at 1:30 p.m. at Tobacco Valley Cemetery in Eureka.
