Last weekend, the Libby Wrestling Club competed in the AAU National Championships in Butte. The eight members competing in Greco-Roman, freestyle, and Folk style placed second in the small team division. All wrestlers who placed in the top 8 are "All Americans." Next year, the AAU National Championship will be in Denver, Colo., and the Libby Wrestling Club plans to attend. Pictured in the front row are: Isaiah Sickler ( Midget 70); Zach Crace (Novice 70, 5th place Greco and 6th place in Freestyle); Cody Crace (Tot 45, 8th place Greco and 7th place in Freestyle); Mitch Haugen (Schoolboy 85, 4th place Greco and 6th in both Freestyle and Folk style). In the back row are: Coach Mike Puckett; Jeff Miller (Cadet 125); Lucas Puckett (Cadet 171, 5th place in Greco, 7th place freestyle, and 5th place in folk style); Cody Elliot (Cadet 125); Josh Erickson (Schoolboy 120, 4th place in Greco, 5th place in Freestyle and 7th place in folk style); and Coach Vic Crace. There were over 800 competitors at the 3-day event. Competitors came from as far away as Rhode Island, Maine, Florida, Massachusetts and California.
