Hooked on phonics

To the Editor:

For Heaven's sake - if Erika Kirsch has dreams of becoming a news reporter she had better take some spelling lessons. The recent storm did not "wreck" havoc on Libby - it "wreaked" havoc. And the tree that was struck was a "cottonwood" - not a "cottenwood". Someone needs to edit the articles before they are published in the paper.
