Man-o-War bell

To the Editor:
I would like to make just one correction to Kyle McClellan's excellent article, "Paying Homage to History."
St. Luke's historic church bell was a ship's bell, taken from a captured British man-o-war in the war of 1812, not from a "prisoner of war," (as stated in the article) who would have been severely handicapped lugging a heavy bronze bell if he had been trying to escape capture.
A man-o-war is historically described as an armed sailing ship.
