Frank Bonneau, 84, formerly of Libby, died Wednesday, July 11 at a Missoula hospital. Frank was born in Maddoc to Alex and Emily Bonneau on July 9, 1923; he left there at a young age, eventually settling in Libby.

He married Edna Ritter Miller in 1951 and they made their home in Libby for many years; she preceded him in death in 1986. While residing in Libby, Frank had been a longtime employee of the J. Neils Lumber Company and later, the St. Regis Paper Company, working as a diesel mechanic until his retirement.

He married Helen Coverdell in 1989 and together they enjoyed life over their 18 years of marriage. They lived as snowbirds in Bouse, Ariz. during the winter months and enjoyed traveling, bowling and just being together. Frank and Helen moved to Missoula in 2002 to be closer to family.

Frank was devoted to his family, being an excellent husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and was known to them as "PaPa." He was especially devoted to his "little angels," great-grandchildren Caden, Carter and Quinlenn. Frank had a great sense of humor and loved playing his guitar and singing.

Survivors include his wife Helen; a daughter, Kathy Tennison; granddaughter Salisha Stufflebeam and her husband Luke; great-grandsons Caden and Carter, all of Missoula; grandson Travis Tennison and fiance Angie Haas and great-grandaughter Quinlenn, all of Kalispell; he is also survived by many other loving family members.

Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated on Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Libby with Father Ray Hannigan as celebrant. Rite of interment followed at the City of Libby Cemetery. Visitation was on Sunday at the Nelson & Vial Funeral Home Chapel followed by parish vigil and rosary services.
