Robert Benedetti

Robert Gene Benedetti, 76, of Missoula died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007, at his home surrounded by family and pets.

Bob was born in Libby on May 18, 1930, the eldest of Gino and Beulah Benedetti's three children.

He graduated from Libby High School.

Bob worked for J. Neils Lumber Co. in Libby. He also served in the U.S. Air Force.

After working for the Montana Highway Patrol, Bob drove truck for Missoula Cartage Co., where he retired from after 25 years.

His hobbies included gardening, hunting, fishing, wood-working and caring for his pets.

Bob is survived by his wife, Evelyn; daughter Gina Ryan and her husband, Mike, and their children Nateece Stevens, and Brenden and Kelly Ryan, and great-grandson, Blake Stevens, of Missoula; daughter Teresa Knudson and her husband, Don, of Frenchtown; and daughter Ann Johnson and her husband, Mark, and their children Aryn and Kaylie Johnson of Florence; stepson Barry Scalise and his wife, Carolyn, and their children, Camille, Trevor and Tyler Scalise of Kirkland, Wash., stepdaughter Vicki Scalise and Ed Jackson of Seeley Lake; stepdaughter Pam Scalise-Reecer and her husband, Curt, and their daughter, Hilary Scalise, and great-grandson, Zakery Scalise, of Missoula; sisters Dorothy Dutton of Libby and Kay Morrill and her husband, Bill, of San Clemente, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services.

Cremation has taken place with Sunset Memorial Garden for internment at the mausoleum.

Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's House, in care of St. Patrick Hospital or Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
