Harry Fisher

Harry M. Fisher, 81, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, at his home in Libby from natural causes.

He was born May 13, 1925, in Columbia Falls to Henry and Mabel Bethal Fisher. He grew up in the Flathead and had attended school in Columbia Falls and Kalispell.

At 17 he entered the U.S. Navy and served 19 years of active duty and 11 years of reserve. He worked for a battery company in Fremont, Calif., for a couple of years.

He married Mildred Irene Loy in Florida. She preceded him in death in 1964.

He moved to Libby in the early 1970s. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include two sons, Harry Fisher and wife Julie of Libby, and Brian Lizzote of Sidney; sister Ida Gehring of Libby; and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday March 2, at the City of Libby Cemetery.
