Halu Dedic
Halu C. Dedic, 66, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2007, at her home in Libby from natural causes.
She was born Jan. 25, 1941, in Tainan, Taiwan, to Chen HaungMing and Chi TyChinmei. Halu grew up in Taiwan.
She married Ray Dedic on Feb. 7, 1968. In 1969, they moved to California where they lived until Ray retired from the service. They moved to Libby in 1974.
Halu was a cook at the Branding Iron Restaurant for 11 years. In 1986, she went to work for the MK Steak House, and she worked there until 1997.
She enjoyed pool, bowling, fishing, hunting, picking huckleberries, poker and gardening. She was well known for her egg rolls and wontons.
Halu was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary for 30 years and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jo Ann, in 1980.
Survivors include her husband; daughter Tammy Dedic of Clarksville, Tenn.; sister Ming Bridges and her husband, Don, of San Antonio, Texas; and niece Meilee Bridges of Austin, Texas.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at Libby Christian Church. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16.
