Donald Powell

Donald S. Powell, 63, of Libby died Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, at St. John's Lutheran Hospital from natural causes.

He was born Oct. 29, 1943, in Libby to Donald and Jackie Cottrell Powell. Donald was raised and educated in Libby.

After school, he worked for Burlington Northern Railroad, St. Regis Paper Co. and on numerous ranches in Idaho and Montana.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping in Montana. He especially loved fishing at the Big Hole with his sister, Sandy.

He is survived by 11 siblings, Sandy Dempewolf, Billy Powell, Debbie Stubbs and Cindy James, all of Libby; Wayne and Kelly Powell, both of Kalispell; Sharon of Billings; and Steve, Mark and Danny Powell and Becky Sharp, all of Oregon. He also is survived by seven children, numerous grandchildren, and aunts Beth and Geri, both of Libby.

Private family services will be held.
