Ruby Nissen

Ruby Nissen (Davis), 62, formerly of Willmar, Minn. passed away at her home in Libby on Friday, Aug. 24, 2007.

Born in Montevideo, Minn. on May 10, 1945, she was the daughter of Perry and Charlotte (Van Campen) Davis. She was raised and educated in Willmar and graduated high school in 1962.

She married Tom Curtis in 1963, and they welcomed Trevor, their son, in 1969. She spent many years as a teacher in the Waukegan school system. She and Tom divorced in 1987, and she relocated to Minneapolis.

She later moved to Montana with her boyfriend, Larry Jensen. She had retired, and enjoyed mystery novels, crafts, and her pet cats.

She is survived by one son, Trevor Curtis, of Concord, N.C.; her brother and sister, Perry and Rosie Davis, both of Minneapolis, Minn.; an aunt and uncle, Fred and Lois Schoenfelder, of Minneapolis, Minn.; a niece and nephew, Nick and Jessica Davis, also of Minneapolis.; one granddaughter, Aubry Curtis, also of Concord, N.C. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be announced at the convenience of the family.
