Remembering a tragic passing

To the Editor:

As the world mourns the death of Princess Diana on August 31,1997, my family still mourns the death of our little eight year old, August 31,1987. Ryan VanLuchene was murdered in Libby 20 years ago.

My family still is very active in keeping predators in jail and training law enforcement in finding missing children. We work with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and Fox Valley Technical College.

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank the community for keeping us in their thoughts and prayers. You have done so throughout the years. You are a great community.

Our family will never get over the tragedy but we continue to get through it.
