John Graham travels to Myrtle Beach for Golf Tournament

| August 24, 2007 12:00 AM

John Graham, from Libby, will be one of over 4,000 amateur golfers competing in the PGA TOUR Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship. The tournament, which is held in the "golf capital of the world," Myrtle Beach, S.C., takes place the last week in August.

Graham hopes to become the world champion, and he could because the tournament has a handicap system that makes it possible for anyone to win, regardless of age, gender, or playing ability.

Flight assignments are based on a verified handicap index and winners of each flight after four days of competition advance to the championship round. The title sponsor, PGA TOUR Superstore will provide over $130,000 in gift certificates to the Top Ten finishers in each flight.

Graham will also have an opportunity to attend the world's largest 19th hole party which takes place each evening in the Myrtle Beach Convention Center.
