Public reading held

| April 27, 2007 12:00 AM

Several individuals who are writing their life stories recently met at Cabinet Books and Music in Libby for a public reading.

Last fall, local author Gordon Sullivan wondered if there might be some people in Libby who would like to write their stories. He offered a "Writing Your Life Story" class at the Lincoln County Campus of Flathead Valley Community College. Today, Sullivan wonders why he didn't do it sooner.

"The individuals that joined the class last fall have demonstrated an amazing amount of talent and I wanted to give them a chance to share their work with others," he said.

"I'm just writing my story for my family," said class participant Stella Sharp.

Those in the audience enjoyed hearing about life in Fortine during The Depression.

This was the first of several readings, which will be open to the public.
