Ron Thompson

Ronald "Ron" L. Thompson, 61, of Troy, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, at his home.

He was born Feb. 10, 1945, in Texas to Lloyd and Mary Thompson. The family moved to Ridgecrest, Calif., shortly thereafter, where he was raised and educated.

Ronald lived in Ridgecrest and later in the Lake Tahoe area before coming to the Troy area two years ago, where he greatly enjoyed the Montana outdoors.

He is survived by his companion, Ella Ackley of Troy; a daughter, Kelly Bledsoe of Conroe, Texas; his parents and a brother, Wayne Thompson, all of Ridgecrest; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held Tuesday at the Troy Cemetery.

Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby handled arrangements.
