Police force, city workers appreciated for efforts downtown

To the Editor:

This is a letter of appreciation for the Libby city police force and city workers for doing a great job helping to keep our downtown clean. Recent events downtown have been remarkably orderly and litter-free. The streets are cleaned regularly and the trash bins have been emptied on a pretty regular basis.

There is a definite decrease in the "open containers" we used to find on the Gut, and other unpleasant deposits have discontinued.

We appreciate the diligence and professionalism Libby's police officers and city employees have shown in helping us to maintain our downtown.
