| September 15, 2006 12:00 AM

Phillip A. Chapman, 53, of Boise, Idaho, and formerly of Libby, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006, at home after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Phil was born Oct. 29, 1952, in Libby to Robert and Patricia Chapman.

He grew up and attended school in Libby, where he met Marlee Roush. The two married in 1972, and celebrated 34 loving years together on Aug. 12. With every passing year their love grew, and though Phil was a man of few words, his emotions were well known.

During their marriage they had four children that brought many blessings to their lives.

Phil loved the outdoors, the beauty of nature, time spent in his woodshop and cycling. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Phil is survived by his mother; wife; children Jess (Tamie), Rachel (Dustin), Andrea and Charles; grandchildren Justin, Paige and Claire; six siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The family would like to thank Dr. John Gamboa and the staff at the Cancer Center of Idaho, and caregivers at Life's Doors Hospice.

Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, Sept.14, at Holy Apostles Catholic Church in Meridian, Idaho, with the Rev. Timothy Ritchey presiding. Burial followed at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.

Services were under the direction of Accent Funeral Home in Meridian.
