Naola Hansen

Naola "Red" L. Hansen, 75, of Polson, died at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006.

Red grew up and attended schools in Libby. She married Edwin Hansen in March of 1968 in Reno, Nev.

They lived throughout the Northwest and Alaska and moved to Polson in 1999.

Red was an avid bowler and gardener. She was also a multidimensional artist in oil painting and crafts.

Her parents and a sister, Jerry, preceded her in death.

Red is survived by her husband of Polson, five children, Mary Ruth Brown, and Jerry Hays and wife Linda, all of Troy, Carrie Roecks of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, Penny Robins of Everett, Wash., and Canyon Hansen and wife Holly of Polson; 12 grandchildren and one on the way; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Munsel of Libby; and a sister, Shirley Fahland of Libby.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Troy City Cemetery with Minister Gene Bushnell officiating. A gathering will be held following the services at the Troy City Park.
