Jimmy Dever

Jimmy R. Dever, 66, of Libby, died Saturday, Sept. 9, 2006, at St. John's Lutheran Hospital.

He was born Oct. 1, 1939, in Snyder, Texas, to Orville and Viola Dever.

Jimmy attended grade school at Portales, N.M., and high school at Vernonia, Ore., graduating in 1958.

He for many years was a boilermaker, working on many projects in the western states, Alaska and Hawaii. Jimmy had been a longtime member of the Boilermakers Union.

He came to Libby in 2002 following his retirement, enjoying the Montana outdoors, especially camping and fishing as well as rock collecting.

Survivors include his wife Shelly of Libby; children Andrea Osborn and Ilona Jordan, both of Vancouver, Wash., and Tessa Jo and Tahnee Kay Spencer, both of Libby; grandson Michael Jordan; and many good friends and brother boilermakers.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, at Milnor Lake Cemetery.
