Thank goodness it's almost over

To the Editor:

Does anyone have any doubt we are in a political campaign season?

Thank goodness it is very soon coming to an end, at least for now.

It is a shame that some candidates, who either have no record or are ashamed of their record, turn to a nasty campaign and come out with out and out lies about their opponent with the hope by telling these lies often enough that some people will believe them. Unfortunately I have no doubt some do.

The sad thing is the reputation of the deserving candidate suffers as in the case of Conrad Burns.

Please, for the good of the country and everyone of us, put some serious and real thought into which candidate you are voting for.
