To the Editor:

To vote - an important right guaranteed to each and every of-age American citizen.

This privilege should never be taken lightly. The election for sheriff of Lincoln County is quickly approaching.

Voting for a law enforcement official to lead a community means choosing a qualified person. The person chosen will assume the responsibility of making important decisions that directly affect the lives and safety of you and your children.

Clay Coker has a proven background in law enforcement, is of good moral character, knows the pulse of the community and is a strong leader. I feel Clay Coker possesses and surpasses the qualities required to hold office as the sheriff.

I have had the very fortunate opportunity to serve under Clay as a police officer in Libby, and the pleasure to be able to call him a friend. I can tell you from experience that Clay Coker is a person you want at the helm of a crisis. He possesses a calm, reasonable, educated and experienced decision-making ability.

In closing, I would like to ask you to take the time to vote. I'm sure you will come to the conclusion that Clay Coker deserves your vote.

Thank you for your time.
