David Paulsen

David A. Paulsen, 51, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006, at his home in Libby.

He was born at Chippewa Falls, Wis., on April 3, 1955, the son of Robert W. and Esther Ehlert Paulsen. He attended school in Wisconsin, and then the family moved to Libby when he was 13. He graduated from Libby High School in 1973.

He married Gloria Ferch in 1975 and they later divorced. He married Etta Casey in 1989 and later divorced. He loved hunting, fishing, sports, the outdoors, hunting camp and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lynn.

Survivors include his children Janell Malczynski and husband Tony of Kila, and Ryan Paulsen and Jenn Paulsen of Libby; brothers and sisters Tom Paulsen and wife Linda of Libby, Larry Paulsen and wife Charlene, Nancy Hickethier and husband Cork, Bob Paulsen and wife Vicki, all of Cornell, Wis., Diane Lang and husband Tom and Becky Lipke and husband Jim of Eau Claire, Wis., and Bobbie Bower of Melbourne, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Sydney Paulsen and Gage Malczynski.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Arrangements are by Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby.
