Lillian Mackey

Lillian M. Mackey, 80, of Libby, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, at St. John's Lutheran Hospital from natural causes.

She was born Feb. 13, 1926, in Libby to Klas and Bertha Olson Johansson.

Lillian grew up in Libby and graduated from Libby High School in 1944. Her senior year she was voted Hijinx Queen.

Lillian married Marvin Mackey on June 23, 1946, in Spokane, Wash. They lived in Libby until 1956 and returned in 1993.

Lillian enjoyed golfing, bridge, sewing and bowling.

She belonged to the hospital auxiliary in Anacortes, Wash., and blood bank and was an Anacortes Patrons of the Arts.

Her parents, four sisters, a brother and a son, Dana, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin; a daughter, Pam Cummings, and her husband, W. Beaman of West Boylston, Mass.; a son, Tim Mackey of Bothell, Wash., and grandchildren, Patience and Jessie Mackey, both of West Boylston.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, at Christ Lutheran Church.

Local arrangements are by Nelson & Vial Funeral Home.

Memorials may be given to Christ Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
