Mary Hilliard

Mary B. Hilliard, 85, of Libby died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006, at St. John's Lutheran Hospital from natural causes.

She was born July 28, 1921, in Orleans, Neb., to Luther and Lilly Wickens McKinney.

Mary grew up and attended school in Nebraska. At 17, she moved with her family to California where she lived for three years. Mary then moved to Oregon before coming to Libby in 1974.

She married Milton Hilliard in 1976.

Mary was a salesperson for Fuller Brush for over 22 years.

She enjoyed sewing, collecting dolls and bears, and flowers.

Mary was a longtime member of the Doll Club.

Survivors include her husband; children Steven Higgins of Grants Pass, Ore., and Linda Stubbs of Libby; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Libby.

Nelson & Vial Funeral Home in Libby handled arrangements.
