James Purves

James J. Purves, 76, of Libby died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Wash.

James was born Nov. 7, 1930, in Fillmore, Calif., to the late James and Virginia Purves.

He served during the Korean War.

James retired in 1986 from the FAA and one year later moved to Libby.

He belonged to the Elks and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

James also was preceded in death by nephews Mark and Richard Purves of California.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of Libby; a daughter, Lori Purves of Oregon; a son, Michael Purves of Libby; a brother, Richard Purves and his wife, Barbara, of California; and a cousin, Ed Ilhareguy and his wife, Peggie, of Colorado.
