Mae Richards

Mae E. Sickels Pulley Richards, 94, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at Libby Care Center.

She was born Sept. 21, 1912, in Sheldon, Mo., to Wilder and Minnie Bishop.

Mae came to eastern Montana in 1913 where she was raised and educated.

She married Ralph Sickels and they lived in the Wolf Point area until moving to the Bitteroot Valley in 1946, residing there for five years.

Mae later lived in Missoula and worked at the Missoula Mercantile for 20 years.

She had been a member of the Presbyterian Church, Order of the Eastern Star Electa Chapter No. 7, White Shrine No. 3, Mt. Sentinel Woman's Club and Daughters of the Nile.

Her first husband died in 1952. Mae married Howard Pulley in 1964; he died in 1975. She married Walter Richards in 1978; he died in 2001.

Mae was also preceded in death by sons Robert and Howard Sickels and great-grandson Daniel Disney.

She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy Rowland and her husband, Gene, of Libby; sons David Sickels and his wife, Barbara, of Shelby and Charles Sickels and his wife, Shirley, of Pasco, Wash.; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Private interment services will be held at Corvallis Cemetery.
