Family members still actively searching for Joan Wallace

| May 24, 2006 12:00 AM

To the Editor:

Joan Wallace is still missing. Even now - while we are working hard to find her - we want to take a minute to thank all who have given of their time and expertise thus far. These are long, long days for us. Joan is a caring person and we pray that she will be found alive and well.

With each passing day we are trying to stay strong and hope for the best - but it is difficult. Those of you who have experienced this limbo of looking for a missing loved one know firsthand the heartache we are experiencing. Please keep us in our prayers.

We also want you to know we are still very actively searching and you can help. If you are able to help us, please contact the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office at 293-4112 or Duane Wallace (the family coordinator) at 293-8976 ( dwallace@kvis.net ). Duane's son, Jack Wallace, is also available to forward information to his father. Jack can be reached at 406-982-3049.

Her family is considering establishing a fund for either information leading to her recovery or a donation to the search and rescue personnel. We want to express our deep sense of gratitude to the people of our communities and our need to do something to give back to the community.
